INTEGRATING RESEARCH AND PRACTICE

About Kay
I am a researcher, educator, and strategist dedicated to bridging the gap between learning theory and technological innovation. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology and Program Evaluation at Old Dominion University, I investigate the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and student self-regulation.

I also bring extensive industry experience to my academic work, having spent nearly a decade supporting military-connected learners. In my previous role, I directed high-impact initiatives, designing scalable systems to help service members identify career pathways and translate their experience into civilian credentials. Now, I apply that same pragmatism and cognitive constructivist lens to higher education, creating learning experiences that amplify human potential rather than replace it.
Work published or under review, including peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, and research briefs.
Invited talks, conference presentations, workshops, and webinars delivered at national and international venues.
