The role of self-regulatory processes in learning, and how generative AI may support or disrupt students' ability to monitor and direct their own learning.

Technology-Enhanced Learning

Online and technology-mediated learning environments, AI-assisted writing, and the design of digital tools that support learner success across contexts.

Equity, Access & Nontraditional Learners

How educational technology can expand or constrain access to learning, with particular attention to nontraditional, adult, and military-connected student populations.

Academic Identity & Motivation

Student experience, academic identity formation, and learning motivation in higher education, including how emerging technologies shape students' sense of themselves as learners.

Mixed Methods Research

Methodological emphasis on mixed and multi-methods approaches to educational research, integrating quantitative and qualitative data to address complex questions about learning.
